Those of us who consider ourselves pro-gun, pro-concealed carry and pro-second amendment know inherently that these "things" we believe in lead us to a greater level of safety in our lives. The ability to protect ourselves and our loved ones against an increasingly more violent and crime-ridden society means that we don't have to be victims of this onslaught. In the mass of reading I do on the subject, there are studies that show what we already in our hearts know, more guns in the right hands equal more safety for our communities.
Many of us have taken steps to obtain a firearm, learn to use the gun, maybe even obtain the credentials to carry a gun for personal protection in the form of a concealed carry license. How many have taken any further training in the form of proper tactics for an armed confrontation? How many even practice regularly to become proficient with the gun they carry for protection? I venture to say that the number is relatively small in comparison to the number of concealed carry permits out there.
Show Me Shooters is Kansas City's, Northland indoor shooting range and gun store. We have 12, well lit and well ventilated lanes. You can bring your own handgun caliber weapons and ammo or rent one of our 100+ range guns if you're still trying to find your perfect gun.
We also offer many classes including conceal-carry training (CCW), learning to shoot, and even women's only classes. Even if you don't intend to get your CCW license, our concealed carry classes can better prepare you for hazzardous situations and legal pitfalls that can arrise from defending yourself. It always pays to educate yourself and our knowledgable staff is here to do just that.
Ladies and Gents, this is why we carry. The hero of this story was an everyday citizen who was in the right place at the right time and had the capacity and the will to defend. This could have been a much darker day. Instead, the wolf was put down. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/14/armed-customer-shoots-stops-hatchet-attack-in-7-eleven/
Please tell me you not going with something as trite as flowers and candy again this year! Get her something different. We've got all kinds of purses and other concealment accessories for the lady in your life! Yes, we know, a purse is a very personal item, so bring her in and let her try them all and see what she likes better! It wont fade away in a week and it's healthier than candy (well, maybe not for an assailant).
I was reading a really interesting article the other day Nine Things New Shooters (and Concealed Carry Permit Holders) Need To Know About Training. One of the most interesting lines from the article was...
“students who attend my range courses that have read and gone through my completed one of my programs tell me across the board that they were missing something that they could not get from the book or DVD. It’s not that they did not like my material, just that I gave them a different depth of feedback when they trained in person with me. I try to take at least one course per year myself, and recommend you do the same.“
2015 was an amazing year. More and more citizens are learning to excersize their 2nd Amendment rights and taking classes to be responsible gun owners. We've certainly had some scares both overseas and right here in America, but there is good reason for hope. With more concealed carriers out there, we may serve as the first line of defense.
Nothing fills a stocking like a 100 rounds of .22lr.
Nothing wraps quite as easily as 100 rounds of any size ammo.
Be honest, can you ever have too many holsters? Or gun cleaner?
Gifting doesn't have to be hard. If they own a gun, you can bet they'd love the excuse to go shoot it more often. Give the gift of a year's membership to out shooting range!
Your tree could really use another light, you know it could. Let your loved one put that light on the tree using a new laser sight!
It is our intention to provide women with as much pertinent information regarding personal protection to allow them to make an informed buying decision. Here is an article that was sent us by our good friend Shane.
